Wheelchairs
When purchasing a wheelchair you need to consider the following points:
- Where is the wheelchair to be used
- Its size for comfort
- Lifting it in and out of the car (how light is it)
- Finally is it only to be pushed or can the person self propel with their hands and arms
All our wheelchairs fold (for storage), have footrests (removable), are powdercoated looking less clinical than the more common chrome wheelchair.
The following wheelchairs are a selection from our range:
Transit
Ideal for indoor and outdoor use. Patient may only be pushed. Rear wheels pneumatic, 12 inches high. Our most popular chair. Benifits include lightweight allowy/steel (11.6kg), removalbel desk arms, backrest and handles fold to be very compact.
Selfpropelling
Ideal for indoor and outdoor use. Patient may selfpropel with hands and arms. Rear wheels 24 inches high. Benefits include Lightweight steel (14kg), removable desk arms, backrest and arms fold to make it more compact.
Selfpropelling - Aluminium
Ideal for indoor and outdoor use. Patient can selfpropel easily as very lightweight. Benefits include Lightweight alloy (8.5kg), quick release wheels, adjustable frame for optimum comfort, flip up armrest for easier transfers.
